Dear Patient,

As part of your clear aligner treatment with About Braces, it is important that you send us clear and accurate photos of your teeth whenever requested.

To guide you, we have prepared two short videos:

  1. How to Put In the Cheek Retractors

  2. How to Take Proper Photos with the Retractors On

Please ensure that you watch both videos carefully and follow the instructions as shown.

Correct technique is essential for us to assess your aligner fit and treatment progress accurately.

1. How to Put In the Cheek Retractors

This video will show you how to properly insert and wear the cheek retractors.

Please ensure that:

  • The retractors are positioned correctly to fully expose your teeth

  • You are in a well-lit area, preferably in front of a mirror, before proceeding

2. How to Take Proper Photos of Your Teeth and Aligners

This video demonstrates how to take the required photos.

The photos must clearly show:

  • The front, right side, and left side views

  • The “R” and “L” on the cheek retractors

  • The fit of your aligners over your teeth

Please use your phone’s flash and ensure the teeth are in focus.

Important Reminders

  • Please follow the angles and instructions closely. Incomplete or unclear photos will delay your assessment and may affect your treatment.

  • Make sure the aligners are properly seated in each photo.

  • Do not remove the retractors until all required photos are taken.

These steps are necessary to maintain the quality of your orthodontic care even when you are not visiting the clinic in person.

If you are unsure or encounter any issues, please contact us immediately.
We are here to support you, but your cooperation is essential for your treatment success.

Thank you for your attention to these instructions.
We look forward to reviewing your photos and continuing your progress toward a great smile.
